In a League of its Own

Over the years we have stayed in many of your recommended B & Bs and found most of them to be of a very high standard.  Hay Barton is in a league of its own.  Jill and Blair are wonderful hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble and who miss not a detail.  The bedrooms are beautiful, the sitting room with its welcoming log fires makes it feel like home, and the breakfasts, well, they are simply the best, with homemade granola and the best fresh fruit, not to mention the yellowest scrambled eggs we’ve ever seen.  The special welcome that Jill and Blair give their guests is further typified by the tea and cake server on arrival, and indeed on the second day we spent at Hay Barton.  We have stayed in some 5-star hotels that could not hold a candle to this wonderful place, we shall return.
