Flora’s Room

The Room

A large country-house room with gorgeous views over the garden and farmland beyond. It features a superkingsized bed with a White Company Duvet, wardrobe, dressing mirror and ensuite bathroom with large walk-in shower, basin and toilet.

Soft towels from the White Company and toiletries are from Bramley made with 100% Natural Botanicals.

It has its own tea and coffee making facility with Jill’s homemade shortbread and bottled tap water. There’s a hair drier and a wicker armchair.

Breakfast

Breakfast at Hay Barton is really special. Served in the flagstoned dining room with a wood burner set in a bath stone fireplace for the winter months.

Guests can expect the best of local produce with local sausages and bacon, apple juice, Cornish Sea Salt and Rodda butter. Eggs with the yellowest yolks are from Jill and Blair’s Maran chickens.

Jill bakes delicious granola in the Aga, served with fresh fruit and homemade yoghurt.

Local artisan breads are served with Jill’s homemade marmalades and locally produced honey.

Guest Sitting Room

There are two comfortable sitting rooms at Hay Barton, both with television.  The Study has an open log fire, two sofas and an armchair.

The Drawing room has three large sofas and an oil burner in the winter.

Outside

Hay Barton is a working farm and Blair has lived here all his life. His herd of South Devon cows can be seen grazing from the giant windows overlooking the fields.

The cobbled courtyard is a sun trap in the afternoon and the perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea and Jill’s homemade cake after a day exploring Cornwall’s gardens and beaches.

Guests are welcome to use the table tennis table, tennis court which is available all year round.

WiFi

There is free wifi throughout the building.
